Narrow miss !!

The DC Quiz contest results were announced yesterday.Top 3 ppl in the quiz would represent DC in different quiz competitions like Brand Equity Quiz etc. Nanak was very hopeful at the start of the day. But when results were mailed on the local network his wait turned to despair :-( . Nanak finished fourth. The guy at the third position outscored him by 0.5 marks. Nanak was heartbroken.

When this writer asked Nanak as to how he felt he said

I feel dissapointed of not making it this time, but i will make sure that i wont miss the bus the next time.

Just when he made this remark, he got the news that he was on standby and his "services" would be made required if any of the top 3 guys r not able to make it due to one reason or another. Hearing to this breaking news, Nanak remarked

If that's the case, iam overjoyed because there are rumours floating around that one of the top 3 guys was about to leave for US soon.

It seems, all's well that end's well.
